Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist & Certified Life Coach

Amanda Davies is a qualified Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified Life Coach with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals to create meaningful, lasting change in their mental health and wellbeing.

Amanda is a Professional Clinical Member of the Guild of Australian Hypnotherapists (GoAH) and brings a calm, compassionate, and insight-driven approach to her work. She is known for her ability to intuitively understand what lies beneath a client’s presenting concerns and to support change at both a conscious and subconscious level.

Areas of Special Interest

Amanda has a strong clinical interest in working with:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress
  • Phobias and fears
  • Negative self-talk and low self-esteem
  • Trauma, grief, and emotional loss
  • Addiction and self-sabotaging behaviours
  • The mind–body connection in health and wellness

Her work supports clients to reduce emotional distress, improve confidence, and reconnect with their sense of agency and potential.

A Holistic and Integrated Approach

Drawing on her training in counselling, hypnotherapy, trauma-informed care and life coaching, Amanda works holistically with the mind, body and nervous system. This integrated approach allows her to help clients not only understand their patterns, but also gently shift the beliefs and emotional responses that keep them stuck.

Clients often report feeling a strong sense of ease and connection from their first session, noting that Amanda’s approach feels supportive, grounded, and deeply respectful.

Professional Background

Amanda’s professional journey began in 2003 with training and practice in counselling. Later in 2010 a family-related challenge led Amanda to explore the benefits of Hypnotherapy to support this family member. Seeing first-hand the significant and rapid results this provided, inspired her pursuit of formal training in Clinical Hypnotherapy and incorporate this into her practice.

Her early professional work included supporting Solaris Cancer Support patients, where she used hypnotherapy to help reduce anxiety and emotional distress associated with cancer. Amanda also volunteered with The Samaritans, further developing her ability to listen deeply and respond with empathy and clarity during times of crisis.

In 2007, Amanda opened her own practice in the Perth Hills, and since then has supported a wide range of clients across emotional, behavioural, and relational concerns.

Her guiding philosophy remains simple and effective:
“Change your thoughts, change your life.”
