Remedial Therapy
Effective treatments for relief from general and chronic pain, physical discomfort and tension
What Remedial Therapy Can Treat
Remedial therapy can help reduce muscle spasm, ease tension, and support recovery from injuries. It is also effective in stimulating circulation, improving flexibility, and reducing the risk of adhesions in muscles and fascia.
It may provide relief for:
Back and neck pain or spasm
Shoulder, arm and hip pain
Sciatica and lower back pain
TMJ and jaw pain
Headaches and migraines
Overuse injuries and repetitive strain
Posture problems from computer or desk work
Stress-related tension and insomnia
General pain, stiffness and poor alignment
What to Expect at Your Initial Appointment
On your first visit, your therapist will take a full health history and discuss your treatment goals. Whether you’re seeking relief from a specific problem, wanting to break the stress cycle, or looking for a full body realignment, your therapy plan will be tailored to you.
During treatment, you may be partially undressed, but all areas of the body not being worked on will remain covered with towels. Your therapist will regularly check in with you to ensure your comfort. Because most issues develop over time, more than one or two treatments may be required to achieve lasting results.
Remedial therapy is a targeted form of bodywork that goes beyond relaxation massage. It combines a range of specialised techniques designed to release muscle tension, improve alignment, and restore healthy function to soft tissues and joints.
With more than 25 years of experience and ongoing professional training, our remedial therapist uses a personalised approach to identify the root cause of pain and apply the most effective treatment. Whether your discomfort is related to work, stress, sport, leisure activities, or everyday strain, remedial therapy can provide relief for people of all ages.
Often pain presents as a mystery: “I must have slept strangely”, “It’s always been a niggle that’s getting worse”, or “I don’t know what I did wrong.” Through detailed assessment and extensive clinical experience, our therapist applies the right combination of techniques to address your unique situation.
